New College Site Launches to Help Students Interested in Tennessee Colleges and Universities

Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association New Web Site is the Latest Student Service Mentor Site launched by Xap Corporation.

Los Angeles, CA – September 5, 2001 – Xap Corporation, a pioneer in electronic and Internet-based information management systems for college-bound students, today announced the launch of TennesseeMentor.org, (www.TennesseeMentor.org), the first college application and information site designed specifically for the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA). TICUA represents 35 independent colleges and universities across the state. The site is the latest of 19 live Mentor sites that have been developed by Xap Corporation to provide an efficient, fast and free method to process college applications and communicate directly with prospective students.

"Part of our mission at Xap is to continuously find ways to grow our Mentor programs in order to make the going-to-college process more accessible and convenient for all students," said Allen Firstenberg, President and CEO of Xap Corporation. "The addition of the Tennessee independent colleges and universities allows Xap Corporation to provide a wide array of choices to students across the country who are interested in Tennessee's exceptional colleges and universities."

Mentor sites, which are exclusively developed by Xap Corporation, are Internet-based, student-centered websites that provide students and their parents a simpler, friendlier and free way to plan for college, research universities and careers, apply for admission and explore financial options for their college education.

"We are pleased to join Xap's growing number of Mentor sites and provide prospective students an all-access pass to information about Tennessee's university and college programs," said Alan Duesterhaus, Director of Research and Technology at the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association.
