Scholarship Funds Awarded to Celebrate One Millionth Student Enrollment on Number2.com
Culver City, CA – March 21, 2007 –
Xap Corporation announced the award of $8,000 in scholarships as part of the Company's campaign to celebrate the establishment of the one-millionth account on its Number2.com website. Lindsay Vinyard, a student at Jersey Village High School in Houston, Texas, was selected for a $3,000 scholarship. In addition, her school received a matching $3,000 grant for its general scholarship fund. Christopher Bramble of Woolford, Maryland and Briana Dykes of Dallas, Texas each earned a $1,000 scholarship. Students using www.Number2.com to prepare for standardized admission tests received one entry in the scholarship drawing for every correct answer submitted in response to the test preparation questions.
Aspiring to be an art or English teacher, Vinyard sees the tangible value in using Xap's acclaimed test prep product. "This scholarship will help make college possible for me. Without it, I'm afraid that I wouldn't have been able to attend," she said. Vinyard is thinking about attending Sam Houston State University, and noted that she would be the first in her family to go to college.
