| Job summary: |

This position is responsible for testing all Xap products to ensure that they meet Xap's rigorous quality assurance standards. As part of a team with four to six staff members, the Quality Assurance Analyst will ensure quality, performance and functionality of Xap's software products, and websites. |
 |
| Responsibilities: |
 |
 |
Actively contribute to the team effort to maintain the vision and direction of the quality assurance team, and provide creative and practical solutions to meet business goals |
 |
Perform interface usability, functionality, data integrity, regression and performance (stress and load) testing |
 |
Create test plans, test scripts, and project plans based on the analysis of technical specifications |
 |
Review functional specifications and create/review test cases |
 |
Document, track and communicate test results, and analysis of unresolved problems |
 |
Efficiently and effectively communicate status of assigned tasks with various individuals and teams, developers/engineers, and management |
 |
Actively participate in review, and inspection meetings, give input on requirement and design documents |
 |
Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies |
 |
Identify variances from standards and suggest modifications to conform |
 |
Work individually with minimum supervision, or in a team environment |

| Requirements: |
 |
 |
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience |
 |
A minimum of 1-2 years recent work experience in a software quality assurance environment is required |
 |
Ability to develop, review and execute test plans and document results for both manual and automated testing |
 |
Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes. Programming, troubleshooting, and debugging skills are helpful |
 |
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time-management skills |
 |
Experience with bug tracking/issue management systems, scripting, and automated test tools, and load testing concepts and methodologies |
 |
Experience with user-interface, functionality, data integrity, regression and performance (stress and load) testing |
 |
Experience with black box and white box testing |
 |
Knowledge of database technology, writing SQL scripts, queries and creating test data |
 |
Knowledge of IT basics, including installing operating systems, ghosting/imaging, VMWare, network troubleshooting, and ability to analyze and troubleshoot operating system error logs |
 |
Strong understanding of internet technologies (Web servers, Application servers, JavaScript, HTML, XML, web services, etc.) |
 |
Windows experience is required; LINUX/UNIX helpful |
 |
Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic environment |
