Key Features

Mentor Systems offer unique tools and services that students can use to fully explore academic options and careers. Students can access key facts about colleges, utilize the search tools to find the college that meets their needs and interests, take a multimedia tour of a campus, obtain contact information and send e-mail, research financial-aid eligibility, and career options. In addition, students can compile a portfolio of their academic achievements and progress, and then use the information in preparing to meet entrance requirements to the college or university of their interest.

Prospective students and colleges have control over specific sets of data, which can be updated and processed in real time. Colleges and universities have complete control over the information used in the campus tours, and can post real-time messages to students, manage and download student applications, update costs and financial-aid information, and more. Students have complete control over their Mentor profile data and college selections, and have the option of sharing their information with their guidance counselors. Xap's encryption, redundancy, and backups ensure that student data is always secure and available.

Test preparation services and electronic transcript submissions are available to prospective students as part of the Mentor experience. The comprehensive, web-based preparation courses allow students to reinforce the academic skills tested by the SAT, ACT, and GRE through a series of tutorials, practice sessions, and vocabulary drills. Students can easily and securely send a 'digital package' containing their online application and electronic transcript to a college or university participating in the Transcript Exchange program.
